Hannah Millson – Manager
Level 3 Diploma in childcare, an NVQ in Management, First Aid trained,
Safeguarding Lead, Behaviour Support Lead, Data Protection Lead

My name is Hannah and I am the Manager and Designated Safeguarding lead at St John’s Pre-school. I have always known that I have wanted to work with children and I have now been in the childcare sector for 15+ years. I have worked with children from 3 months up to teenagers. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with the children, watching them learn and develop. I love singing and reading to the children and enjoy hearing them singing the songs back to me that they love! In my free time I love spending time with my husband and family going to music concerts, the theatre and can often be found with my head in a book!

Tracey Beal – Deputy Manager
NNEB, First Aid trained
ECAT and Equality & Diversity Lead

My name is Tracey and I am Deputy Manager of the Pre-School. I have worked at St John’s Pre-School since 2014 and have a childcare career spanning over 28 years. I hold a Distinction in Btec diploma in Caring and an NNEB Diploma. I have twin teenage children and I love working in Childcare to help give children a valuable start in life, watching them grow and develop. In my spare time I enjoy watching football, spending time with my family and playing netball.

Zoe Hooper – Senior Practitioner
LAO Level 3 Diploma CYPW, First Aid trained, SENCO

My name is Zoe and my role within the setting is third in charge. I have worked at St John’s Pre School since 2018 having worked in childcare since 2008. During this time I have gained both my NVQ level 2 and my NVQ level 3 diploma qualifications. I have 2 children of my own and love nothing more than coming to work knowing I can have a positive impact on the growth and development of lots of children’s lives. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends enjoying days out and keeping busy.

Jess Smart – Practitioner
Level 3 Diploma in childcare, First Aid trained

My name is Jess and I am a level 3 qualified early years practitioner. I have been working in childcare for 5 years and started as soon as I left school. I joined St John’s amazing Pre-School team in 2021 and I absolutely love it! I love coming to work where no two days are the same! My favourite thing about working with children is knowing that I’ve made a positive impact on them and their development. It’s so rewarding! I also love watching their personalities shine through as they grow. In my spare time, I love spending time and going on adventures with my little boy and family to make lots of memories! I also enjoy getting creative and arty with my son and making new things for my friends and family.

Abbie Butler – Practitioner
Level 3 Diploma in childcare, First Aid trained

Hi I’m Abbie, I’ve been in childcare since leaving school in 2012. In those years I’ve cared for young babies right up until they leave for school.
I really enjoy working at St. John’s as no two days are the same, I love the child led approach and following the child’s interest’s and ideas, you’ll be surprised of where it can take you!
I love spending time outside with the children and going on outings to see the world around us.
At home I have 2 daughters where we enjoy trips to the park, baking and family games.
